My Fav Looks from Married To It (1991)
So I recently watched “Married To It” (1991) because of Robert Sean Leonard and although I gave the movie 3 and a half stars on Letterboxd I still want to discuss some of my favourite looks from the movie.
1. Little Black Dress
So my first choice was Nina's little black dress at the start of the movie, which I find very classic, and also the combination with the small pearl necklace just had to make it in my faves.
2. 10 second screen time tweed
Another look that caught my attention was this random lady's tweed that had 10 seconds of screen time. I wish we could see the skirt, yet I loved the color yellow in combination with red and black. What also could have been added to the look would be a pair of small golden earrings matching the necklace.
3. Vintage Red Brown combo
Now let's come to the reason for which I wanted to watch this movie in the first place: Robert Sean Leonard as Chuck Bishop. His character had a few looks that had me questioning the costume designer's ability to do their job, yet this one is one of my favorites. I love the vintage brown leather jacket in combination with the red turtleneck and the classic blue jeans. I also liked the brown button-up shirt matching the jacket's color.
4. Random Sweater
So this random sweater that deserved more screen time really stood out to me. I love everything that has a stain of red on it, so this one is self-explanatory. Also, we didn’t get to see which pair of jeans he wore with it, but probably some blue or black jeans. If someone knows where I can buy that sweater, inform ASAP.
5. Oversized Sad Girl Fall Sweater and Dark Green Neil Perry kind of way sweater.

So these two belong together, but the green one in particular kind of reminded me of that one Neil Perry outfit. In general, Chuck Bishop wears a lot of sweaters in the movie, many of them over a tucked-in shirt or oversized. The brown-green one with a pattern is oversized, so this is proof that fashion repeats itself over time. R.I.P. Chuck Bishop, you would've loved sad girl fall.
6. Pink-blue combo
This is literally one of my fav looks from the movie. I love the combination of two soft colors, in this case, pink and blue. The outfit had a suit over it at the start; I think that is the reason why the tie is there—to have a dark color to match the dark suit with.
7. Fred Johnes scarf worn with a brown suit and yellow gloves
I like the color palette in this one, especially the orange. I love, love the sunglasses that are added to the look. Also, the orange and yellow do a great job of standing out in the outfit.
8. Red coat and turquoise turtleneck

Love the combo of red and turquoise; in my opinion, very underrated. Also, that golden ring combined with the earrings, which you can't see in the picture, is a great way to add more colors to the outfit.
9. My Saturday after 8 p.m outfit
Just gonna put this in here because it's relatable.
10. Red/White/Blue combo
Like I said, I love a stain of red, and also the small pearl necklace adds a little detail to the outfit.
11. Barbie
This look literally screams Barbie, yet I love the two different shades of pink combined, and also the hair color fits the palette. Definitely in my top 3 favorite looks from this movie.
12. Red White Patterned Shirt and denim shirt

In my mind these two shirts are cousins, idk why maybe its the rsl effect
13. Office Siren
This one is a quite basic office look yet it looks good so it deserves its spot on this list
14. Red Wine Supernova
What I love about this look is the combination of wine red and a brighter red. This is something that you would see on the red carpet nowadays.
15. Another Black Dress
Even if we didn’t get to see the dress at its full length, I still like the shape of it, and the combination with the black gloves and the golden jewelry gives it the classic old-money vibe.
